How To Activate/Deactivate A Plugin Or Theme in WordPress (Already Installed)

Installing a Plugin or Theme in your WordPress Blog or Site is done in Two ways:

1. Either you can Download the folder 0r Zip file and Upload it to the WordPress Plugins or Themes Default Directory. Mostly, In this case you need to see How To Activate Already Installed Theme Or Plugin In WordPress Site or Blog.

2. Or you can simply use Add New option from your WordPress Dashboard to add a new Plugin or Theme Directly from WordPress.org. (this process is limited to availability of the sources within the WordPress Directory)

Then, after this we need to Activate the Plugin or Theme to be Used: See How ?

Let’s Start with how to Activate a Plugin first (in WordPress)

It is assumed you have a installed plugin or See how to install a Plugin in WordPress.

1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard by Logging In.

2. Go To Plugins Option on the Left Sidebar (below Appearance)

3. Click on the Activate Button available just below the plugin you need to activate (remember if there is a option deactivate – it means it is already activated).

4. Final Step, just follow the Plugin Settings and Done.

Now, Let’s see how to activate the theme in WordPress.

It is assumed you have a installed theme or See how to install a Theme in WordPress.

1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard by Logging In.

2. Go To Appearance Option (or Appearance >> Themes) on the Left Sidebar (below comments)

3. Click on the Activate Button available just below the Theme you need to activate as shown in the Image.

4. Final Step, just follow the Theme Settings, Customize it and it’s Done.
